A GREAT DISCOVERER (1114 -1183 Before Common Era)
Bhaskaracharya was a born genius and an authority in mathematics, especially in algebra and geometry. His famous work Lilavati and Bijaganita remain unparallel works by substantiating his profound intelligence.
His astronomical findings on planetary positions, occurrences of eclipses and cosmography written in his treatise itled "Siddhani Shiromani" stun every one.In his book Surya Siddhant' he wrote on the gravitational force, that helps to keep the planets, the Sun and the moon in their respective orbits much before the world could even waken and realize to these findings.

Acharya Charaka
THE FATHER OF MEDICINE (600 Before Common Era)
?Acharya Charaka?s renowned work, titled ?The Charaka Samhita?,is considered an encyclopedia of Ayurveda.
His principles on diagnosis and cures retained their potency and truth . Acharya Charaka revealed the facts on human anatomy,embryology,pharmacology,blood circulation and diseases like diabetes,tuberculosis,heart disease etc.
In the ?Charaka Samhita? he had described the medicinal qualities and functions of 1,00,000 herbal plants . He had emphasized the need for the diet control and activity of mind and body.

Acharya Bharadwaja
PIONEER IN AVIATION TECHNOLOGY (800 Before Common Era)
"He was an apostle of Ayurveda and mechanical science.
He authored the ?Yantra Sarasvasva? which includes astonishing and outstanding
discoveries in aerospace science and flying machines like the one that flies
on earth from one place to another ,the other travels from one planet to another and the one that travels from one universe to another. ?

ACHARYA Kanada
FATHER OF ATOMIC THEORY (600 Before Common Era)
?Acharya Kanada?s ?Vaisheshika Darshan? is Considered one of the six principal philosophies of india.
Acharya Kanada was a genius philosopher .He was the pioneer expounder of realism,
law of causation and the atomic theory.He has classified all the objects of creation
into nine elements, namely: earth.water,light,wind,ether, time,space,mind and soul. According to him ?Every object of creation is made of atoms which combine to form molecules.?

Nagarjuna

?Nagarjuna, with his maiden discovery and invention in chemistry & metallurgy,earned him

helped him complete the masterpieces like Ras Ratnakar,Rashrudya and Rasendra mangal
in the realm of chemistry.Nagarjuna discovered the process of alchemy to transmute the
base metals into gold.His contribution in the field of curative science was well evinced
when he authored his famous medical books like Arogya manjari and yogasan.?

?He was a renowned astrologer and astronomer ,Varahamihira?s book
?Panchsiddhanta?holds a prominent place in the realm of astronomy.He claimed that the
moon and planets are lustrous not because of their own light but due to sunlight .
In the ?Bruhud Samhita? and ?Brushad Jatak? he had revealed his discoveries
in the domain of geography , on constellation ,botany and animal science which
are conceptually advanced .In his treatise on botanical science ,Varahamihira recommends cures for various diseases afflicting the plants and trees

Aryabhata
PIONEER ASTRONOMER & MATHEMATICIAN (476 Before Common Era)
?Aryabhata gave the world the digit ?0? (Zero) for which he became immortal.
He was known to have evolved the calculation of (PIE) up to four decimal places .
Ayrabhata was an intellectual prodigy who could formulate the method of calculating
the motion of planets and predict the time of occurrence of eclipses.
His theory on the shape of earth ,place of the earth in the solar system, its movement rotation and revolution was evolved thousands of years preceding the heliocentric theory by Copernicus His scholarly ladder reached its pinnacle when he wrote a text on astronomy and evolved a treatise in mathematics namely Ayrabhatiyam. His immortality lies in his unparrallel works .His mastery in astronomy and mathematics leaves every one with irreversible acknowledgement.

ACHARYA Patanjali THE FATHER OF YOG (200 Before Common Era)
(The Science of Yog is one of the several unique contributions of India to the world .
It seeks to discover and realize the ultimate reality through yogic practices .
Acharya Patanjali prescribed the control of breath (prana) as the means to control the body ,mind and soul. This subsequently rewards one with good health and inner happiness .

?Acharya Sushruta ,a genius surgeon was widely accepted as the father of surgery and
his mastery in the annals of medical sciences amazes every one .He is also considered the father of plastic surgery and science of anesthesia .His detailed surgical procedures given
in ? Sushruta Samhita ? were quite advanced whereas during that period in Europe the
concepts of surgery were still at the stage of infancy .His book on surgery prescribes treatment for twelve types of fracture and six types of dislocation.

Jagdish C Bose THE INVENTOR OF WIRELESS RECEIVER (1858 - 1937 A.D)
"Jagdish Chandra Bose was a physicist, biologist, botanist, archaeologist
and the writer of science fiction .He pioneered the investigation of radio, microwave optics, remote wireless signaling, and use of semiconductor and made very significant contributions to plant science .He also laid the foundation for the experimental science in the Indian subcontinent. He used his own invention Crescograph to measure plant?s response to various stimuli. Thereby he scientifically proved existence of parallelism between animal and plant tissue.?
