This morning I was in for an unpleasant surprise when 2 cops barged into our office and commanded I sign on one of the papers and mention my name and amount on the paper. On being questioned, the cops refused to tone down and raised his voice, further requesting me to mention my name and the amount that I wished to give; and it had to be over Rs. 2000. An agitated me smelled the rat and asked the cops to furnish his photo identity. Interestingly one of the two cops did show his identity and I casually looked at it and thought that they were for real. My senses kicked in and insisted I wake up and smell the rat again, and so I did. I asked him to show the ID again and it was a bogus one with "Behrupia" (impersonator) written in Hindi. I raised the alarm bell and called in the security and instantly dialed the cops. The security caught hold of these impersonators and the Thane police cops came to our office in no time to punish the impersonators.
Next time you get uninvited visitors at your doorstep, please make sure you ask for their photo identity and check it carefully; also do not hesitate to ask for help.
